GOLF COURSE PROGRAM

River-Friendly Golf Courses become leaders in environmental stewardship by protecting water quality and important ecological areas while providing unique recreational opportunities. This program is designed to help golf course superintendents and staff implement proactive environmental stewardship strategies that benefit the environment and the golf course.

We also publicly recognize participating courses to connect them with the community and reward their stewardship initiatives. Benefits of this program include healthier turf, lower operating costs, decreased water usage and presence of beneficial wildlife.

Your River-Friendly contact works with you to help develop specific goals and requirements for certification. By joining, courses receive ongoing technical information, support and guidance for implementing environmental projects tailored to the unique location, resources and needs of the golf course.
